Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!

This is a place to share my many ideas, (along with a story or two), about party planning from the theme to the thank you note, organization from your closets to your kid's artwork, and home decor, from wall color to window treatments. I have a passion for graphic design, fine art, photography, interior design and a great party! Creativity and the visually aesthetic get my juices flowing and I hope this blog can be a place to have fun exchanging ideas and resources and help your creative juices flow too!

Enjoy!

A Passion for Poufs!

I don't know what it is about Moroccan poufs, but I've become totally enchanted by them, feel that I need to have one, and I'm pretty sure the metallic, silver one pictured above needs to live with me.  It's available at Neiman Marcus or Horchow if anyone else in the US feels they simply must have it;  I just used the one from the UK's, Oliver Bonas because it had the best photo.  I could rest my feet on it while reading a book, sit on it while playing with my kids on the floor, or simply enjoy looking at it as room jewelry. "Pouf's" or "Pouffe's" have clearly become a popular interior design element because I'm starting to see them everywhere, and as I'm writing this, One Kings Lane announced that they're having a sale tomorrow called, "Ottoman Empire" featuring poufs, ottomans and benches and "my" silver Moroccan pouf is in the preview!  I wonder how much it's selling for...not that it matters...I can't spend the money at the moment <sigh>.  Anyway, I'll have to check out the sale and add any cool poufs that are listed, to this post.

One Kings Lane Update: Fabulous stuff!  Aside from the pouf, I wanted to get an X-bench (well, 3 of them actually)  I love X-benches...but that's a whole other post.  I wasn't surprised to see, upon my third visit to the sale, that my pouf (and x-bench) sold out.  I wonder how many of them there were?

Anyway, here are a variety of these fun little cushions to check out (there are more within many of the websites listed) and don't be surprised if you too develop a passion for poufs!
